The NexFix™ MTP Fusion System is a bone plate and screw system for first Metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint arthrodesis. The combination of plates and screws provides a stiff and stable construct, and allows the hallux to be fused in the proper anatomic alignment.

Benefits

  • Unique low profile locking screw option provides an immediate stable construct for the joint fusion to occur
  • Plates and screws are manufactured from stainless steel for optimal strength and soft tissue compatibility
  • Cannulated cup and cone reamers for accurate preparation of the 1st MTP joint
  • Plates incorporate 10° of valgus and 10° of dorsiflexion
  • The plate benders are for customizing the dorsiflexion angle of the plate
  • Plate screws are inserted with a self-retaining screw driver for optimal control
  • Primary and reconstruction plate options

Standard and Locking
Screw Advantages

Low profile 2.7mm Standard Screw provides sufficient fixation in most patients. Longer screw sizes can be directed obliquely across the plantar aspect of the joint for additional fixation.

Low profile 3.2mm Locking Screw can be threaded into the circular locking plate holes for an immediate stable construct. Recommended for use in the oblong compression holes with osteoporotic bone.

MTP Primary Plates
